Saving Newborn Lives (SNL-III) Closes

SNL supported the Federal Ministry of Health in Ethiopia and its Regional Health Bureaus as well as its partners to attain effective and equitable coverage of newborn care interventions and practices aimed at the three leading causes of newborn deaths including infection, Pernatal Asphyxia and prematurity.

Listening for Change: Fisseha’s Story

When Jillian Farrar, Communication Specialist with Save the Children Australia, last visited Save the Children’s Radio Listening Group Program in Ethiopia’s Amhara National Regional State, she documented the stories of many participants across a range of age groups. Jillian said she was exceptionally fascinated and touched by the mature accounts of a young boy and writes his story.

USAID’s Administrator visits Save the Children’s ENGINE plus program

U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator, Mark Green, visited Save the Children’s ENGINE plus project in Jijiga town during his latest stay in Ethiopia, according to news sources of the US Embassy in Ethiopia, he has announced that Ethiopia is one of the 12 target countries for the next phase in America’s global hunger and food security initiative.
