With 40 million USD support of the PEPFAR, through USAID, the program helped prevent new infections, strengthen linkages to care and support services, promote behavioural change communications and increase economic empowerment to avert new infections and promote gender equity and equality.

The program helped 282,355 beneficiaries receive HIV Counselling and Testing (HCT) and 106,208 Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) related services using 253 private health facilities (146 clinics and 107 drug retail outlets) organized under Addis Mela Private Health Facility (PHF) network and established 158 town level HIV and AIDS multi-sectoral committees (HACs) to coordinate the implementation.
