In 2016, the youth of Tsibet Kebele, Endemehoni Woreda in Tigray region established “Lemlem Afaje Environmental Association.” The association has 13 members, of whom nine are women. Having completed their grade 10 education, all members were unemployed and lived with their families. None of them had a chance to pursue higher education or start their own business.

Halefom Berhe, 23, is a charming young man from Tsibet Kebele, Endamehoni Woreda of Tigray Region. He completed grade 10 four years ago but remained jobless until he was targeted for POTENTIAL project. Following this, he received ‘Positive Youth Development’, ‘Work ready Now!’ and ‘Be Your Own Boss’ trainings from the project.

Hassna Mohammed is 13- year-old student in the seventh grade living in a remote village. She goes to school at Semsem Primary School in Afar Region, Ethiopia. Hassna has three sisters and a brother. Save the Children’s PAGES project provided Hassna with a solar lamp that helped her to study and do homework at night.
